JEE Advanced 2018 to be held on May 20th…!!!

The Joint Admission Board (JAB) is the body that conducts the IIT JEE Advanced Exam. The upcoming IIT JEE Advanced 2018 has been decided to be held on May 20, 2018.The decision on whether to conduct the exam in an online mode or computer based test (CBT) is yet to be finalized. This would be announced in about 10 days time.  The JEE Advanced is conducted by one of the zonal IITs on rotational basis.

IIT Kanpur will conduct the paper for JEE Advanced 2018. JEE Advanced is conducted on a rotational basis by one of the 7 zonal IITs, namely IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee. This year the exam would be organized by IIT Kanpur.
JEE Mains is the qualifying paper for JEE Advanced and is conducted by CBSE. Though the exact date has not been released by CBSE yet, it would be most likely conducted within the first two weeks of April 2018. The date for JEE Mains is expected to release by end of November 2017.
Joint Entrance Examination is conducted for admissions to engineering courses across the country’s government colleges. Admissions to IITs, NITs and IIITs is also done by the means of the JEE score. The examination is conducted in two phases. The JEE Mains which is conducted by CBSE and the JEE Advanced which is conducted for admissions to the premier engineering colleges in the country  is taken care of by the Indian Institute of Technology.
Candidates who are interested in applying for JEE Advanced have to first clear the JEE Main examination conducted.
